148. BOTH INTERNATIONAL & INLAND Which vessel may sound at least five short and rapid blast on the whistle if in doubt whether sufficient action is being taken by the other vessel to avoid collision?

Any vessel in sight of another and experiencing doubt regarding the other vessel's actions to avoid collision may sound five short, rapid blasts as a danger signal, as stipulated by Navigation Rules Rule 34(d), and this applies to all vessel types and situations.
