The timer (synchronizer circuit) controls pulse transmission timing and directly determines the pulse repetition rate (PRR). Discriminators process signals, artificial transmission lines shape pulses, and pulse-rate-indicator circuits measure the existing PRR; therefore, only the timer circuit dictates the PRR.
