793. INTERNATIONAL ONLY You intend to overtake a vessel in a narrow channel, and you intend to pass along the vessel's port side. This action can only take place if the vessel to be overtaken takes action to permit safe passage. How should you signal your intention?
To overtake another vessel in a narrow channel on its port side internationally, signal intention with two prolonged blasts followed by two short blasts, as per COLREGS Rule 34(c)(i) in conjunction with Rule 9(e).
